Artistic approach

Always sensitive to the power of words and what escapes them, in my artistic work I try to approach the fragility of connections and things that arise precisely from their inevitable disappearance; from that flaw that dwells within each of us, from which rises a silent cry that leaves us infinitely alone, even in the midst of the most intense turmoil.

To do this, I must start from an unknown place where my thoughts vanish. Let the tremors of meaning arise, hoping to bring about a few flashes of insight. Hold on to nothingness or to the tiny vibration of what presents itself. Keep alive the anxiety and its vacillations between letting go and flying away. Cultivate the surface.

Then put down on paper the traces of what remains: memories, dreams, or fleeting impressions. Wrench from the chaos of intertwined lines, scattered, scattered, fleeting fragments of life. Protect the ambiguous. Cultivate it sometimes so that, as much as possible, you don't close off the reading, the questioning, the breathing. On this journey to nowhere, wandering from one point of ignorance to another, things may be said. As I grope my way forward, drawings, photographs, mixed media, collages, watercolors, and oil paintings emerge.
