A series of vases crafted using wheel throwing and hand-building techniques. My process, guided by emotion and the allure of clean lines, relies on experimenting with forms and glazes, which I create myself from natural minerals. My free and intuitive practice explores the relationship between material, gesture, and emotion. Each object becomes the site of a dialogue—between memory and sensation, between function and aesthetics. Olivia Coarelli initially trained in hand-building at the Academy of Fine Arts in Watermael-Boitsfort. She continued her apprenticeship with Belgian and French ceramicists, where she discovered the world of studio life. In 2020, she spent a year training at EMA CNIFOP in Burgundy (France), earning her CAP (Certificate of Professional Competence) in ceramic throwing.
